And although men may get depressed at close to the rate of women, they are more likely to mask their depression through drugs, alcohol, and even workaholism. Many depressed men withdraw from those around them and do not seek support from their significant others. Depressed women, on the other hand, tend to verbalize their feelings and are more likely to turn to their significant others for support.
