Don’t patronize the depressed

Do not treat the depressed person like a child, and do not assume that you know what is best for her. If the depressed person you are talking to is a child, continue to talk to her in the same manner as you would to a nondepressed child of the same age. Remember to speak to the depressed person with the same respect that you would with anyone else close to you.

Please leave your thoughts. Sometimes the only way one can find the truth is to examine all possibilities.
