Is It Depression?

In our practices, relatives and friends of depressed patients often tell us that they did not consider depression initially because the person did not “seem down enough” or “wasn’t crying all the time.” Some even report that until the person was diagnosed with depression, they thought depression was reserved for “crazy” mental patients or people who were suicidal. In fact, depression can take many different forms, with many different kinds of changes in personality and behavior.
